How to treat blackheads
Beware of false good ideas ⚠️
❌ DON'T
- Extract the blackhead with your fingernails: especially if your fingers are not clean enough, this can lead to the appearance of other blackheads, but also leave scars, or enlarge the pore.
- Avoid overly aggressive products that strip or those with an alcohol base, as they may accentuate excess sebum or irritate the skin and cause further inflammation.
- Eliminate as much as possible sugar and fat, which can lead to a disruption of sebum production.
Eliminate blackheads in an effective and natural way.
✅ DO
- The steam bath will open your pores. It can be interesting before proceeding to your skin cleaning.
- Remove makeup and clean your skin well to prevent impurities from getting into your pores.
- Avoid too much sun exposure: our skin gradually dries out with regular exposure to the sun, thickening the epidermis (the skin cells harden). This is the phenomenon of keratinization which leads to an overproduction of sebum. The pores become clogged, sebum accumulates and the sweat causes the proliferation of bacteria...
- Wash your hands if you have to touch your face.
- Products based on fruit acids are interesting to fight against blackheads. They act on desquamation, to get rid of dead cells that can clog our pores more quickly.
🤣 Fun Facts: Nail blackhead extraction is ADDICTIVE! With each extraction, our brain releases dopamine related to the feeling of satisfaction from the blackhead coming out. The more we do it, the more we want to do it to get that feeling back
