Stop the preconceived ideas: Putting on sunscreen is enough to protect yourself
STOP Preconceived idea: Wearing sunscreen is enough to protect yourself!
With the arrival of summer and the first rays of sunshine, we often have only one desire: "to expose ourselves a little more to the sun...".
❌ But beware, if a good sun protection is indeed necessary, it is not enough!
Although a sunscreen should limit sunburn 🔥(caused by UVB), you should also be wary of UV that penetrates the epidermis: UVA.
👉 Consequence of exposure to these: mutation of gene involved in cell regeneration, up to the potential development of melanoma.
Fortunately, today's sunscreens offer dual protection: UVB and UVA.
❗️But, it is good to remember that a sunscreen should be applied in a very thick layer to really achieve the protection corresponding to the SPF indicated on its pack (no less than 6 teaspoons to protect the body surface).
And of course it is essential toreapply at least every two hours. Which, let's face it, no one does as diligently as they should.. 😫
The right gestures to associate with your sun cream:
✅ Do not expose yourself between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
✅ Cover sensitive areas like ears, hair roots, hands, feet...
✅ Don't forget sunglasses 😎, T-shirt when necessary
✅ Protect yourself even on cloudy days: clouds do not stop UV.
✅ Do not use a sunscreen that is too old (check the expiration date / period after opening)
