Everyone in a bathing suit
We could almost make this event official at next year's Olympics: the famous swimsuit passage.
When the warm weather arrives, we unpack the swimsuits from the closet. They're all spread out on the bed, ready to be put on. But we're not, not at all!
And yet, we've read tons of magazines, listened to podcasts on self-acceptance and even added the accounts of body-positivist influencers... When it comes to revealing our bodies at the beach, we all have our own techniques: pareos, long t-shirts, blanket towels, fast gaits, sunbathing postures, loose-fitting dresses or even vacations at the North Pole, we all know how to delay the moment when we have to jump in the water.
Once on the towel, it's a festival in our heads: "I'm too much of this, not enough of that, I've got to hide this or that...". Not forgetting the dreaded: "ohlala, but she's really well put together...". And what if "she" said exactly the same thing as you?
According to a study on the Summer body by Ifop, "more than two-thirds of women surveyed (67%) say they don't feel comfortable in a swimsuit on the beach, with 20% saying they don't feel comfortable at all."
So you're not the only one who dreads putting on a bikini. And you know what? It's not that bad 😉 It can take a while to get comfortable with your body, but I promise, it's mission possible.
This summer, we're going to play it cool. Take a breather, put aside the summer bodysuit and go for it. The idea: make the most of summer without the dress code.
And if you have a moment's hesitation, remember that we all have our complexes, that we're probably a little hard on ourselves and that our body is the mirror of our history.
