Stop the preconceived ideas: oils and oily skin
Oils sometimes get a bad press because we tend to think that they are too rich or occlusive and therefore not suitable for oily skin.
Depending on which ones you choose, they can be perfect allies for all skin types.
We know that oily skin tends to overproduce sebum, which gives it a shiny appearance.
❌ First reflex: wanting to eliminate this sebum by using, wrongly, overly stripping products that will alter the hydrolipidic film.
👉 Result: the skin defends itself and produces too much sebum again. A real vicious circle!
In reality, you need to provide it with hydration and nutrition ("good fat") to prevent this overproduction.
✅ By opting for a non-comedogenic vegetable oil, such as hazelnut or camelina oil (used in Mixed Feelings), we will regulate sebum production by providing the skin with lipids that are necessary for better protection.
👉 Then she doesn't have to overproduce sebum anymore ;)
To summarize:
A well-chosen vegetable oil (gentle and non-comedogenic) does not stimulate sebum production, but on the contrary, regulates it!
