Free as Hair
If magazine tests are anything to go by, hair says a lot (or a little) about us.
Rumor has it that our hair is a symbol of our uniqueness and a reflection of our personality. There are even scientific studies that show that, in society, our hair, its cut and color ... influence what others perceive of us. R.I.P. our teenage hair tests.
We don't really know what to think or say about all this... But one thing's for sure: our hair is a big part of our daily lives. We give it time, care, hairdressing outings, top-notch hairdressing tutorials ... And despite all this, it doesn't always measure up. Rebellious locks, little spikes, frizz... They seem determined to do as they please.
However, we can't blame them too much, knowing that sometimes we also complicate things. Yes, because with our hair, it's a bit of a love-hate relationship.
They're long, we want them short.
They're short, we want them long.
They're sleek, and we're dreaming of well-rolled curls.
They're curly, and we envy straight hair.
Too stiff, too thin, too thick, too much volume or not enough ...
The conclusion is reached in front of the mirror: "This isn't right at all!
So, without missing a beat, we decide to make an appointment with the hairdresser. We search for hours to find the photo that will make us say on the big day: "this is what I want". And then the pressure mounts. One stroke of the scissors too many and the whole thing could turn into a hair drama...
Especially as we're well versed on the subject: "just the tips" can very quickly turn into a "very short bob". Oh my God! it's a good thing it grows back.
And at the same time, that's the cool thing about hair. No matter how much we criticize it in our daily lives, we can't help but adore it, because with it, anything is possible. You can give it a makeover, texturize it, lift it up. You can change your head, assert your style, mark a new beginning or just try something new.
💛 So, on reflection, we adopt them as they are, and that's because they look good on us!
