Sunburn: repair your skin and hair after a beach session?
Almost all of us have already been able to suffer the evils of the sun. ☀️ A sunburn or even ultra-dry hair, that's the summer combo that we're offering you a solution to today 😉
1/ TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN
Obviously, the first piece of advice we can give you (and you know it) is to protect yourself well and avoid too much exposure. ⛱
If, despite all the care taken to protect your skin, you end up with a sunburn, the first thing to do is to assess whether the burn is superficial or not.
🧯Inthe case of a second-degree burn, you will not be able to treat it on your own. Consult a physician. This will include cleaning and treating the burned area.
On the other hand, if the sunburn is less intense, apply a moisturizer such as I'm not a mermaid, our soothing aloe vera and caper jelly. Do not hesitate to reapply the care several times a day and/or to apply it in a thick layer to be allowed to penetrate to maximize the soothing and repairing effects, in particular on the areas of the neckline or the hands which are particularly fragile because the skin is thinner there.
❌ Avoid peeling skin and exposure for the next few days, especially to avoid scarring.
🚰 Finally, remember to keep yourself well hydrated. Drinking water helps the skin maintain its hydration, just like any other organ in the body.
2/ TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR
For sun-related hair damage, it is unfortunately increased by sea or pool water and sand.
✂️ The first advice we can give you will be to cut the damaged ends, which will thus limit the nibbling effect, that is, the forks that go up the hair.
❌ Avoid, as you do all year, overly aggressive shampoos that may strip an already damaged hair.
💆🏻♀️ Then, we will advise toapply an exfoliatingcare on the scalp to detoxify it and thus promote its growth. Sea ya Beach, our 2-in-1 hair mask, allows detoxification of the scalp but also and above all, to repair the hair fiber thanks to its restructuring and protective active ingredients such as castor and artichoke.
⛱ Finally, as a preventive measure, you can apply a protective oil or simply a classic sun protection
