It's summer: How to repair your skin and hair?
But it's also synonymous with sunburn and dry hair!
Discover our summer tips to protect and repair your skin and hair 😉
1/ TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN
Obviously, the first piece of advice we can give you (and you know it) is to protect yourself well and avoid overexposing yourself. ⛱
If, despite all the care taken to protect your skin, you end up with a sunburn, the first thing to do is to assess whether the burn is superficial or not.
🧯In the case of a second-degree burn, you won't be able to treat it alone. Consult a doctor. This will include cleaning and treating the burned area.
💧 On the other hand, if the sunburn is less intense, apply a moisturizing treatment such as I'm not a mermaid, our soothing aloe vera and caper jelly. Don't hesitate to reapply several times a day and/or apply a thick layer and allow it to penetrate to maximize the soothing and repairing effects, especially on the neckline and hands, which are particularly fragile because the skin is thinner there.
❌ Avoid peeling skin and exposure in the following days, especially to avoid scarring.
🚰 Finally, remember to keep well hydrated. Drinking water helps the skin maintain its hydration, just like any other organ in the body.
2/ TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR
For sun-related hair damage, it is unfortunately increased by sea or pool water and sand.
✂️ The first advice we can give you will be to cut the damaged ends, which will thus limit the nibbling effect, that is, the forks that go up the hair.
❌ Avoid, as you do all year, overly aggressive shampoos that may strip an already damaged hair.
💆🏻♀️ Then, we recommendapplying an exfoliatingtreatment to the scalp to detoxify it and encourage growth. Sea ya Beachour 2-in-1 hair mask, not only detoxifies the scalp, but also, and above all, repairs the hair fiber thanks to its restructuring and protective active ingredients such as castor oil and artichoke.
⛱ Finally, as a preventive measure, you can apply a protective oil or simply a classic sunscreen.
That said, we're off for the summer, putting on our flip-flops and keeping them on until September. ☀️💛
