Heavy, swollen legs, water retention, the feeling of having big poles to drag around with you... Does this speak to you?
Walking, immobile position, hormonal variations, pregnancy, heredity... There are many factors that make the life of our legs impossible.
The reason? Venous insufficiency, because blood and lymph tend to stagnate towards the bottom of the legs, causing uncomfortable swelling that can be very painful.
Especially in the summer, when the temperature rises, the veins dilate and the valves that prevent the blood from flowing down under the effect of gravity malfunction.
Result: the venous return towards the heart is not well ensured any more and blood stagnates in the legs. They seem heavy, swell and... ouch, it hurts! Many factors can also aggravate this phenomenon such as smoking, hormones, sedentary lifestyle, excess weight or simply heredity, so be careful!
